Tick Tick has been dreaming, drawing, folding and churning out a load of new prints over the past couple months. All this new material, and conversation about Tick Tick’s future endeavors are out on Church Street, downtown Burlington, VT on sunny days. Stop by to chat and check the wares.
Nick was floating freely through the blogosphere and found a picture of a sweet Tick Tick designed T-shirt being WORN WELL, by Mr. Jeremy Mendicino. Dig it.
We’re all hard at work now for our open house on friday night (6-9PM), like kids in a sweatshop. Dale is cleaning screens and prepping for print. Libby has come for a visit and is cranking out the prayer flags!
Someone threw a pumpkin through the back windshield of the Tick Tick minivan on the night of Thursday, October 2. Who would do this? We suspect our O.N.E. rivals: those jerks over at Dick Dick.
Please report any suspicious activity to Officer Chenette of the Burlington police!
I remember the first time I heard a Microphones record…I was 17, and I had just left the New Paltz, NY record store Rhino Records with a copy of The Glow, Pt. 2
I picked it up on a whim (most of my musical exploration back then involved “gut feelings”) I listened to it 3 times on the ride home and 1 last time in my (parents) driveway. I was sad, happy, alone, surrounded, sick, well, haunted and well blown away! Phil Elvrum has a way of cutting right to the bone of musical feeling…he is a master.
Tick Tick is proud to present Mr. Elvrum In Burlington on Oct. 11th (venue tba)
