Fresh Hot Girlington Garage Tee Shirts

06.16.09

Seriously, they really are hot RIGHT NOW! I just put one of them on and I think I burned my back. We use a conveyor dryer to cure the ink on the shirts and they just pile up into a warm ball. We just finished printing and will have these babies on the cart next time it is out on Church Street. You can also snag one from Girlington Garage itself.

Dig some of the alternate hair cuts we had on the Garage Girl before we settled on the final one.

Up On the Tick Tick Roof
Up On the Tick Tick Roof

For the past couple months, Tick Tick adjunct and incredible illustrator, Colin-Patrick Charles has been working with David Strackany to produce a new design for a set of tees for Paleo. They had been communicating via email, delving into the seen unseen, Until NOW!

For the next couple hours, David hand rolled all the tees into tubes, taped them up and labeled them with their size, and made another point brutally clear, that we need an intern to do that kind of work.

All parties interested in rolling up t-shirts, mopping and vacuuming, cleaning squeegees and putting up posters around town please contact me immediately. This is a real opportunity to discover the inner workings of a screen printing business while being shamelessly exploited.

Lendway Test Prints!

10.11.08

So we actually did a process print.!  We have been afraid to try this for a while, just thinking we would fail horriblly.  But we succeeded! Our Registration is about as good as you can get manually registering colors. Our registration which I would say is about 92% on is pretty incredible. 100% is impossible even with amazing equip. These are just test prints on 140lb French Paper, when we actually do the LP covers I will post finals!!

More about process printing here!

This print is our first attempt at a four color process separated print.
