Born in Los Angeles in 2002, The Mae Shi have released four records, 250 shows, and continue to refine and explore their particular brand of "busted electronics, spazzy drums, crazy boogie guitar, distorted caveman bass and throat-destroying vocals." The prolific band has released a DVD documenting their first tour as well as 33 music videos, and shared stages with the likes of Deerhoof, The Mountain Goats, Xiu Xiu, Mika Miko, and many more.
